Skype is a fantastic communication app, which is used by millions and millions all around the world. There is no denying upon the fact that Skype has easily integrated into the lives of the people.

The majority of the businesses in the world today make use of Skype because there is no other communication app, which is as fast and as versatile as Skype. But, that doesn’t change the fact that Skype is an app, which can malfunction at any point of time. Many people have complained about issues in Skype in the past few weeks, which is a big reason to worry. Skype for Android devices is creating problems, and it becomes the responsibility of the company to pay attention to these issues and rectify these at once. Let us go through all those issues in detail and find out appropriate solutions as well.

Problem No. 1: The sound quality turns poorer when the phone is brought nearer to the ear.
If you are experiencing this issue, then you better check the proximity sensor. If the suggestion of Skype support is to be taken into consideration, then it is better to leave the call screen as the proximity sensor is only used at the time when the device’s screen is in the focus. Or, if you are using 3G instead of Wi-Fi to make voice calls. If you can plug in a headset, then that will solve the issue.

Problem No. 2: Not enough space at the time of installation.
This problem occurs due to an Android bug, which doesn’t clean up the temporary files after the installation process. It will be better to reboot and retry Skype installation or if necessary, do a factory reset.

Problem No. 3: Unable to use multiple accounts
Skype allows use of multiple accounts, but if you are not able to do so, then take the help of Skype help and support providers. You can go into the Skype app settings and remove the tick from the box for automatic sign in.

Problem No. 4: Unable to get notifications
This issue doesn’t occur on its own. You will have to manually turn the notifications off in order to come across this issue. So, if you have by mistakenly turned off the notifications, then you should check the settings. Or, you can get in touch with Skype support chat for the best assistance.

Problem No. 5: Bad call quality
Usually, voice and video quality in Skype is great, but often, the quality degrades, leading to a bad user experience. You need to make sure that the Wi-Fi signal is properly coming and there aren’t too many apps opened on your smartphone. If you have checked all this, but still getting the problem, then you must complain about Skype audio not working and/or Skype video not working in the Skype community. You will get the most appropriate results there. The call quality starts getting bad after more and more apps are being opened on the smartphone.

Problem No. 6: Video calls are consuming all the data
In order to avoid this issue, you will have to go to Skype app followed by going to menu icon. After that, go to the bottom of the profile page followed by tapping on ‘settings’ option. Find ‘voice and video calls’ followed by tapping on ‘video quality’. If the quality is selected to its maximum value, then that will consume data. So, you will have to lower it in order to save some of your internet data.
Moreover, if you find your Skype not responding, then you must take the help of  Skype support chat providers because they will find the problem and thus, rectify it.
