Solution 3- Resetting all the Skype Settings

  1. Close the Skype in a complete manner. If feels the need, just head to Task manager to close the Skype.
  2. Now press Windows key + R, and then enter the %appdata%. After that simply click OK and then tap Enter.
  3. When you get the “Roaming folder” options, search Skype folder and then change the name to Skype.old.
  4. Now press the Windows key + R, and then enter %temp%\skype.
  5. Lastly, click on the “DbTemp” folder. And then try to start the Skype again to check that the issue has been solved or not. Note that using this solution will remove your chat logs, but you will also be able to restore them from the skype.old folder if you wish to have it.
